The Afrox range of externally mounted VRDs comprises two models; 400 A AC/DC and 600 A AC/DC voltage reducers.

APPLICATIONS:

Voltage reducers are devices that are typically connected to constant current welding power sources for use with the MMA process.

FEATURES & BENEFITS:

When a voltage reducer is fitted to a welding machine, it reduces the potentially unsafe maximum OCV across the output terminals of the welding machine to a safer voltage. When attempting to strike an arc the VRD will sense this and switch the welding machine to full output whereupon normal welding can commence.
