The Optimized Surface Preparation (OSP) system, targets the entire surface preparation process. In addition to maximizing the performance of every phase of the process, each step has been designed to work perfectly with the other steps. The numbers on Mirka’s OSP abrasives make it easy to know which strip or disc to use for each step. Number 1 is used for paint removal, number 2 for feather edge, number 3 for preparing the repaired area for primer, and number 4 for finishing the sanding.
