A Robertson, also known as a square or Scrulox screw drive is specified as ANSI
Type III Square Centre and has a square-shaped socket in the screw head and a square
protrusion on the tool. Both the tool and the socket have a slight taper.
As patents expired and awareness of their advantages spread, Robertson fasteners
have become popular in woodworking and in general construction. Robertson screw
bits are easy to use one-handed, because the tapered socket tends to retain the
screw, even if it is shaken.

Very happy with the saw. Because it is a smaller saw (160mm) it is lighter to handle than my 180mm circular saw for 16mm boards. I just replaced the blade with a 52 tooth one for around R200.
The only disappointment is the rail, which cost the same or more as the "compatible" makita, lacks the additional space on the far side with a lip which is being used by quality aftermarket multi-angle tools to guide security from the top and bottom. This one can only take a tool which runs in the bottom slider space of the rail which I dont feel is secure/precise enough and therefor not accurate enough for a multi angle tool.
With hind sight I should have bought the metabo saw with a makita rail.
Great, but should come with a battery or extra blade. Very handy 👌
Thank you
